It is clear to me that there are many different forms of forums depending on the user's needs and purpose, but according to your experience, is the first and basic form of the forum the most common and used?

My assumption is that "A Single Simple Discussion" and "Standard Forum for General use" (which is also the format of the standard course Announcements forum) are the two most widely used formats. I feel these two are the most straight-forward types, but I love the variety of forum types available.
