I have been searching the web looking, but cannot seem to find this anywhere (aside from suggestions I parse through the language pack).
Is there a list of the emails vanilla Moodle sends, along with the email templates? If not, is there an easier/more reliable way to cuyrate this list other than going through the language files?

As far as I know, the only way is by looking at language strings. In MDL-80915, they're all collected and listed in a Google spreadsheet. How about of you comment in the issue and ask for view access to the spreadsheet?
