What is the difference between Rotate QR code/password interval (seconds)
and
Rotate QR code/password expiry margin (seconds)

rotate expiry margin (when the password embedded in the QR code expires.)
The expiry margin needs to be long enough to deal with the fact that a phone will take a few moments to scan the code, load a page - at least a couple of seconds - but ideally not long enough for someone to take a photo of the qr code and send it to their friend working from home...

where do you set the expiry margin? Do you need to have site admin credentials or a standard person with Teacher roles can modify the expiry margin for the session?
Right now it is set to 15 secs on my University Moodle but it is too short for all the procedure to be completed.
