Installed the certificate generator plugin then POOF!

I installed the certificate generator plugin and restarted moodle and now I'm getting "Error reading from database" error without getting to the homepage.

Thanks for posting here Andy. Can you confirm which certificate plugin it was when you say 'certificate generator'? There is a dedicated forum for the custom certificate if you mean that one and I can move your post to there if it is?

That is the plug in that I was working with before the problem started but I'm not sure if the problem is specific to the certificate plugin or a more general plug in problem.

It would help if you can give your Moodle version (and the certificate version) Have you ever installed plugins before?

What did you mean by:  '... restarted moodle ...'?
Installation of any plugin doesn't require a restart of anything ... not moodle, not the web service or the DB server.

More info ... like version of Moodle, version of PHP, version and 'flavor' of the web server, version of DB server, remotely hosted?   etc. would help us help you!

Turn on debugging so a stack trace is visible and I can see where the error lies.
