I red Willian Rice book this weekend. My opinion:
- The book is a good introduction for all people working the first time with moodle with small systems and having teacher and admin access to the system. The author explains several times at the same place functions for both. For all readers only with teacher access I think Jason Coles book is the better choice.
- But think about this: Jason Cole wrote about moodle 1.4, William about moodle 1.5
and Fredi Gertsch in his german book at Addison&Wesley, that I got today about 1.6. - I found im William Rices book some new technical tipps and ideas for me. He gives at several places additional informations from a pedagogical view about the use of activities.
