Default course activities

Just a query on whether Moodle supports setting default course activities (like Announcements) that are created within each new instance of a course. I have some recollection of being able to do this in an older version (3.9 or below) but cannot find how this can be accomplished in 4.1 now.

thanks,
Cathal.

Hi Cathal,

You can set default course blocks (as described in the documentation Block layout) but as far as I know the only way in standard Moodle to set default course activities would be to create a template course that you then restore to create new courses.

Hi again,

I just discovered more ways of using a template course. smile Please see the section 'Course templates' in the documentation Adding a new course.
