Students blocked on a form when they log in

Hi,

I have installed a moodle especially for a project with student. I'm using the latest version 4.3 with a Moove template.

I registered the students by importing them directly with the csc method, email as password and login. Then I forced these accounts to recreate a password in batches.

Strangely enough, when students log in, they're presented with a form asking them to re-enter their first and last names and email address, but they're not prompted to change their password. What's more, when they enter their email address, they're told that it already exists, as if they wanted to create a new account!

What can be done about it?

Best,

Thibaud.

Thanks Visvanath.
Having a look to the authentification methos, I see that my students was enroled by the "no authentification" method.
I tried different settings about this method but I don't see any settings linked with this problem, and I suppose I can't change the authentification method?

Finally, I realized that only some of the profiles were failing to connect.
I had set the login and password to their email address.
By standardizing the login name and using a password in line with Moodle recommendations, I managed to avoid this login problem (but I had to do this one by one for the accounts concerned).

Somehow you created some accounts for a different authentication. Not only Moodle allows this, it allows the "same" user register many times, each using a different auth. methods.
