Unable to connect

Hi, in same network i have moodle and bbb, bbb is working fine on his own, same as for moodle.
I am unable to connect moodle with bbb, there is no firewall between them and also i checked from both boxes 443 port, they communicating.

What i get as an error when i try to add bbb in course:

Unable to connect. Please check the url of the BigBlueButton server AND check to see if the BigBlueButton server is running. Details : https://bigblue.domain.com/bigbluebutton/

On network level, i do not see that moodle even try to communicate with bbb when i try to create course with it (yes, i setup in plugin address of server, with secret), so issue is on moodle side...

How to troubleshoot?

thank you

Hello Vladimir Mićović,

To help narrow down what the issue could be, if you use the default server credentials for the plugin are you encountering the same errors as when using your configured bbb server?

Hi Shamiso, thank you for the answer.
No, i set up a local bbb server and entered the hostname with https (valid cert.) and key...
I have an older version of Moodle and was thinking that is the issue, then i brought up the latest version from docker, to confirm that and it is the same behavior..

Hi,

I am facing the same issue. I am commenting to be apart of this thread.

I am able to wget and curl to the bbb server from my moodle server and get a successful response I also copied the url and secret from bbb-conf --secret into moodle but I get the same error. Tested the bbb api on the api-mate link it provided and the api works. I also ran my bbb domain through different SSL diagnostic tools there are no SSL errors or certificate chain issues. I also have SELinux disabled on my moodle server and Apparmor is not installed so I doubt any of them are preventing external connections.
