Hi All
I have a course in which the students need to be able to send a message to each other. In all other courses this is possible but for some reason not in this one. When clicking on a participant name in the list of participants, a message comes up to say that the user is not allowed to view the profile (see screenshot). I have checked the permissions and as can be seen in the 2nd screen shot the permission is given.
According to our site administrator, the settings are correct. We do not want to allow users to message each other site wide, however course wide it should be possible.
Can anyone suggest a fix?

Please can you check that students have the capability 'View user profiles' (moodle/user:viewdetails) in the course.
