Hide Tab Grades but make the grades available

Hi everyone,
we want to hide the tab grades in a course for students unless the teacher hat graded all course items manually.
I found that you can hide special grade items until a soecified date, but that will still offer the tab "grades" to sthe student. Is there any way to hide the tyb but allow the students to view the content (in providing a direct link to the page when the grading is finished)?

Just one course or all courses?  You could probably use css to hide the tab and then just make a label with a link to the grades that only appears when they have completed everything.
