The file manager doesn't show files in edit mode

Hi

I have a problem similar to the one reported in this forum in Oct 2021 (Files not showing in file manager). I don't see any replies to this topic.

The file manager doesn't show any files in "edit" mode, nor can I drag and drop. I can upload files, download them from the file manager, but I can't actually manage them in any way.

(I upgraded a 3.9 version to 4.1 and tried to install a new theme which was not compatible. I uninstalled it)

Can someone help me? Thank you

Does turning on debugging show any info?

Here is the error message:
Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/db/access.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/miosito.it/:/tmp/:/var/lib/php/session/:/dev/urandom) in /var/www/vhosts/miosito.it/httpdocs/home/lib/accesslib.php on line 2569

Thanks Ken

By chance do you host with a provider that offers Plesk as the panel?

If so, look at your config.php file for moodle at the root of your moodle code for the path to your moodledata directory location.

Then look in Plesk configuration for the domain for an open_basedir setting and add that path to moodledata to the paths that are there .... according to what the error said the paths that are present are::
/var/www/vhosts/miosito.it/:/tmp/:/var/lib/php/session/:/dev/urandom

Thank you. I have forwarded your question and suggestion to the provider.
