Unable to join Teams Meeting LTI

Hello everyone,

I am trying to Integrate Microsoft  Teams Meeting LTI on my Moodle site. I followed this documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/lti/teams-classes-meetings-with-moodle?view=o365-worldwide and I am able to add a teams meeting link on my Moodle course via an external tool. However, after creating the meeting link, I am unable to view the join button. Please find the attached screenshot


Am I missing any settings? 

Moodle Version 4.1.3+

When I invite a user, I am now able to view the join button. However, I have another doubt. Let's say I have 5 groups in my Moodle course and have 50 users in each group. I want to create a teams meeting link for a single group. I'll be doing the restrictions from the Moodle end but do I have to manually invite all 50 users or is there a way to add a group or groups so that only those students will see the join button?

I'm not sure you're going to get an answer. You're depending on there being users in these forums that use Moodle with Teams. Even then, there's a variety of ways to achieve that. I don't recall any (or many) previous conversations.

I use Teams (hateful bit of software - can never find anything stort grin ) but not with Moodle.

Hi Sarath,

I've done extensive testing with MS Teams LTI and Moodle. The instructions can be a bit of a nuisance. MS Teams LTI doesn't handle groups, you can invite everyone in the Moodle course or one person at a time. Groups need to be handled in MS Teams rather than Moodle. Restrictions can also be problematic, you can restrict in Moodle, but if your students have office 365, they can connect to MS Teams through office, and bypass Moodle and any restrictions you have on the LTI.

We offer BigBlueButton Implementation, hosting and support services should you be interested. BBB is open source. Happy for you to look at the experience via our Moodle demo site. BBB recordings are accessed from within the Moodle activity and an attendance/interaction dashboard is also made available by BBB to the teacher.
