Transferring completion status from "Text box" resource to "Page" resource

Hello,

I have added a "Text box" resource in my course where students had to click "Mark as complete" to access the next course. Now, I want to replace the "Text box" resource with a "Page" resource while transferring the completion status from the "Text box" resource to the "Page" resource for all 500 students.

Is there a solution for achieving this?

Why not just hide (or make available but not visible) the "text box" and add the "page" in addition?
Thus, students who have already marked the "text box" won't be affected and the new students will simply click on the "page" resource. After some time you can delete the "text" resource.
