Glossary auto-linking does not work

Glossary auto-linking does not work

Hi!

I am using Moodle 4.2 version. AlmondB is my current theme and the language is Georgian.

I created a Glossary activity with several key terms using the Georgian alphabet.

When I type one of those Key terms somewhere else in the same course, it does not do the auto-linking job.

Any idea why it should not be working?

P.S. I have turned the glossary auto-linking on at all levels.

Resolved.

I checked the "This entry should be automatically linked" into the "Auto-linking" section of the phrase settings.

Is the Glossary Auto-Linking Filter switched on at site admin level? Check Site Admin > Plugins > Filters > Manage Filters

Hi Zura,

If you are using the TinyMCE text editor on Moodle 4.2, then your problem is certainly related to this issue for which you may want to vote: MDL-78745 : "tinyMCE does not link Glossary entries when concept has diactitics".

You can try the hack I provide in the issue description (if you have admin access to the Moodle files on your site).
