When I created a Quiz category for my course, I forgot to specify a number for "Drop the lowest". I want to drop the 3 lowest quiz grades out of 17. The option is now greyed out:
How can I fix this problem I created?
Many thanks,
Mark

Moodle grade category cannot edit "drop the lowest"

I've seen this happen when the quizzes are all not the same exact max-value. It appears to be able to drop the x highest / lowest as long as they are all the same total value.

What is your overall grade aggregation - are you using natural for everything?

Hi,
I had the same issue with everything using natural grading. All the items had the same point value. However, the auto-calculated weighting was showing one item weighing 0.001% more than everything else in that category. I changed agregation to "Mean of grades" and was then able to drop the lowest grade.
