If you are asking a question about H5P in this forum it is important that you state the following at the start of your post. If you do not, then it may be impossible for others to answer or assist:

  1. Does your query relate to the H5P core activity (the Blue icon), or the H5P plugin (the Black icon identified as Interactive Content).  See the image below. This is a vital difference, because they do not work in exactly the same way.
  2. What version of Moodle are you using? This is also vital because the version of Moodle, and therefore the H5P activity, and plugin functionality, can be different. If you do not know the version of Moodle you are using please just ask your IT or Moodle administrator first, and they can let you know.

Providing this basic information will mean you are more likely to get helpful answers, and others reading the discussions will also understand if the information is relevant to their own environment.

This post is vital, because it is not uncommon that people do not know that there are two different H5P integrations in the first place - but that is quite understandable.

Is there a handy summary anywhere of the differences between the two activities? For instance, I understand that the H5P plugin supports Free Text Questions (if LRS dependent content is enabled) but the H5P core does not. It feels like this would be a place to expand on (or at least, link to something that does expand on) these differences and help people choose which they would prefer?
