I have (both moodle 3.9 and 4.1) the problem, that the user-image in forum-mails is not shown:
That's true both for mails sent from my own moodle as well as from moodle.org (example above).
I tried with Outlook and Windows Mail-client, all the same.
Interesting fact:
When I access the source-code of the email and follow the link to the profile-image https://moodle.org/pluginfile.php/3810799/user/icon/moodleorg/f2?rev=2380713 it is accessible.
So, it's NOT a problem that the image is not accessible!
When I change my user-image to gravatar, it is displayed, but in very low resolution.
Given that not many of my students will use gravatar but rather upload their own profile-image, I'd like to find a solution how I can have the profile-image displayed in the forum-mails.
I also would like to make the forum mails prettier and better readable. Do I have to change the mustache-files on my own, or are there any solutions available that enhance the emails?
