Good news. I've just had two issues land in the past few days, both resolving major problems with the legacy (LTI 1.1/2.0) provider grade sync.

  • MDL-76113 - fixes grade sync for LTI 2.0 consumers, which was completely broken.
  • MDL-76170 - fixes grade sync for any user who was created via member sync before launching the tool and completing the activity.
Both of the issues present themselves in the task logs as:

Failed - The grade '0.88' for the user 'XX' in the tool 'YY' for the course 'ZZ' failed to send.

I expect the fixes will resolve a number of reports by folks on this forum - most of which usually result in "unable to replicate". The fix will be included in the upcoming minors for 3.11, 4.0 and the 4.1 major release, so I encourage you to upgrade when able.
