We have customized the language pack from the language settings option on the site Admin. It seems it does not apply to Moodle App. Please let us know the best approach to follow.

On your Moodle website, navigate to Site-admin, Mobile app - mobile Features: there is a section for Language Strings: here is where you need to make your customizations here for use in the app. https://docs.moodle.org/400/en/Moodle_app_guide_for_admins#Custom_language_strings

It does not show up. under custom language strings for the moodle app, I added this.
core.user.username|Mobile no|en
(to replace username with mobile no)
core.user.username|Mobile no|en
