Course to teach students / facilitators how to use moodle

Hello,

I've been browsing the site and trying searches, but can't seem to figure this one out.  Has anyone developed a course for teaching students how to use moodle?  How about a moodle course for teaching facilitators how to use moodle?  I'm looking for something I can import to my current installation and enrol students and facilitators in to help them along.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Yes, I understand your frustration. Hate to break this to you, smile but there is in fact lots of material, some fairly straight line basic, some robust examples. First place to look is documentation. Home page on the left. http://docs.moodle.org/en/Main_Page. Dig around here.

Teacher leads you to this page,
http://docs.moodle.org/en/Teacher_documentation look at the very bottom and go down those links. See Student FAQs.

http://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle_manuals has some older documentation but a good place to start.

Remember that Moodle is so robust that you are probably going to come up with instructions for a specific type of course. Why talk about something that a student or faculty is not going to use? Especially when they are starting off, they just need their pump primed (in my opinion) then mentored.

http://moodle.org/course/view.php?id=34 Here is a course demo about all the features. I am not real thrilled about the lesson on lesson (where I am a little less of a newbie in that ares) because it is really geared to 1.4,. However this and the rest of the course gives a good overview. There is a place to download a copy of it, so you can play with it on your own Moodle. There is also a test moodle which I have not really used.

http://moodle.org/course/view.php?id=5  Look down at the bottom of this link at 3.  There are more links for teachers and Moodle in K-12 schools.

I can't remember the wheres, but in the last month several people have offered courses in forums that they have on their sites for students and others for faculty.   Might have been in the above link.

Humm, maybe a wiki page of nothing but these links is called for. Somehow I have the feeling that exists. I am getting better on my searches and checking out forums.

The presentations I have seen (I focus upon training) have ranged from very course specific rules for students done with a powerpoint and PDF files, to a standard moodle lesson, to flash presentations. A lot of these have been on other moodle sites

I am supervising an interactive video course at the moment. I will try to reply again with some of the links I think I have saved in my browser.

Hey Russell,
I am learning how to use the advanced search engine.
http://moodle.org/mod/forum/search.php?search=&id=5

Often times my searches bring in too much info. I mean "teacher moodle example courses" brings in mucho. I like to keep the same key words in the top field, and then use the pull down to select specific forums/areas. This also helps me understand what is going on in the forums.

Was not able to spend much time on you question, it is almost 11 PM and my video event is has ended, I conducted a review and my long day ends. Hope all of this was a help.

This post seems to come before my other post. Oh well zzzzzzzzzzzzzsleepy
