Chalksite is a new Web 2.0 application for teachers. Moodle is much more sophisticated, however, the simplicity of Chalksite is worth mentioning. It is a nice supplemental educational tool for f2f teachers as it allows one to easily create assignments, web pages, blogs, and manage a gradebook. I think it will get more interesting if they add discussion board capabilities. I was wondering when the web 2.0 craze was going to hit up e-learning. What are others thoughts on this?
I think Nuvvo beat them to the punch with the whole "Web 2.0" thing (as long as you think AJAXy interface + copying 37 signal's 'look' = Web 2.0).
Personally I like some of the other ideas that make up the so-called Web 2.0 and think that tools such as Elgg might be a better posterchild for the next generation of e-learning on the web.
