Hi Harmony,

Could you share the Gradebook setup for this course? If I'm correct, the grade aggregation method is set to Natural (default in most Moodles), which means all activity grades are added up and compared to the sum of maximum grades. Your student may have achieved a 456 out of 700 points, which doesn't really make sense in most cases.

This Moodle Docs page should be a good starting point for solving your challenge: https://docs.moodle.org/39/en/Grade_settings

As for the second question: What grading method are you using? Simple direct grading, marking guide, rubric or something else? This can be found in the assignment settings, as Kim already pointed out.

Hi Harmon

It looks like you are using the Assignment activity so you will want to set your grade point value within the Assignment settings. You can view the documentation for the Assignment settings. Once you set the grade in the assignment activity it will automatically populate in your gradebook.

Any graded activity in Moodle will have an area to set the point value and that will populate automatically into your gradebook.
