Hi all,

I've come across a bit of a challenge in one of our courses (Moodle 3.11). We have group assignment set up, and the vast majority of participants are in only 1 group. There are 2 participants who had to be placed in another group, because their original one was discontinued (one student dropped out).

These 2 students now get an error message, because they are part of > 1 groups. I tried to solve this by adding all the relevant groups to a grouping and then setting up the activity to use that grouping. I excluded the old, discontinued group from this grouping, hoping that would solve the issue... but to no avail.

The question then is: is this because the group / grouping mode have to be set up before submissions start (and can not be modified after the fact)? Or does this have to do with the fact that you can't be a member of more than 1 group in a course, when you want to use group assignments?
