Hi

can someone please help?

when installing moodle in localhost, I get the following error.

Warning: require_once(C:\Apache24\htdocs\moodle/cache/lib.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Apache24\htdocs\moodle\lib\setup.php on line 624

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'C:\Apache24\htdocs\moodle/cache/lib.php' (include_path='C:\Apache24\htdocs\moodle/lib/pear;.;C:\php\pear') in C:\Apache24\htdocs\moodle\lib\setup.php on line 624

I've manually installed the following.

Apache 2.4.

PHP 7.4.29

MYSQL 8.0.28

MOODLE 3.11.6

Thank you for help in advance

The localhost package for Moodle on Windows includes the entire AMP stack + whatever version of moodle code comes with the localhost package.

Please clarify this:

"...manually installed..."

I don't know the cause of your errors. I did create a video presentation a few years ago about how I install Moodle on a PC and Mac. Maybe this will provide some insight.

Rick, thanks .
I couldn't find a guide for the sandbox installation in your slides. Maybe they're not supposed have one.
Thanks

Let me know if I should open another thread.
