The error occure for no aparent reason. It happens semetimes when accessing the login page, access a course or just changing page. Sometime the error dosen't occure at all, sometimes it happens every 10 minutes.

I've checked the error logs and it's trying to access some script(xmlrpc.php, wp-login) in the public _html folder, but my website is installed on a subdomain.

It's not a permission problem, i've already checked.

I have a theme installed, moove.

If you got any suggestions, don't hesitate.

thank you, have good day!

Picture of Particularly helpful Moodlers

The error logs show not only what was requested ... the errant xmlrpc.php or wp-login but the IP address of the client requesting the script.   Is the IP address one of your users in Moodle?    Kinda doubt it cause from what you've described, it's a scan of your server to see if you have a WordPress site.   You say your site is installed in a subdomain ... am guessing that means a file/folder structure like: /home/accountlogin/subdomainname/public_html/ ... moodle code there.

Do you have a Wordpress?   If so, is it up-to-date?  Is there an .htaccess file anywhere in your sites?   They can do re-directs behind the scenes.

Folks who have a vulnerable WordPress site - not up to date - do face hacks where by those hacks make their way into moodle code.
