These are examples of my quiz:

1. We {1:SA:%100%'ve been#Correct~*#Incorrect} (be) here {2:SA:%100%for#Correct~*#Incorrect} several hours.

2. She {3:SA:%100%'s driven#Correct~*#Incorrect} (drive) the same car {4:SA:%100%for#Correct~*#Incorrect} fifteen years.

When students answer the quiz as below, moodle says it's incorrect.
1. We've been here for several hours.
2. She's driven the same car for fifteen years.

Please help.

The normal apostrophe works OK for me. By normal I mean the apostrophe that is available on my keyboard, unicode 0027.
If you are getting unexpected "incorrect" messages with your students you should check that you are correctly using that normal apostrophe in your question (which seems to be the case from what you posted here) and that your students are using the same normal apostrophe when they type their answer.
Which type of terminal are your students using: desktop computer, smartphone, tablet?
Which is the everyday language of your students?

My students are using iPad, smartphones, and laptops. Their everyday language is Thai but the keyboard is in English while they're typing. Also, my keyboard is in English while creating the quiz. Sometimes I use desktop and sometimes a laptop but keyboards are always in English. So, I'm not sure what you mean by normal apostrophe here.

If you want to accept alternate apostrophe characters, you can do that by using the feature of having more than one alternate correct answer:
(I hope the difference in the quotes in the two answers is clear.)

Yes, I do see the difference, but I use close (embedded) to create this type of question because I want to put several items in one quiz. Thank you so much.

P.S. How do you create different type of the quotation marks?
