when I copy and paste a video link in atto editor. the video is not showing, only the link on which I click the video will play in a new windows.

I don't use youtube. However, does your site have the YouTube player enabled in Manage media players?

this option is working but the problem is when I just copy and paste the link direct in atto.
I recall a time when I think ATTO would "interpret" a video URL, but this doesn't happen anymore for my Vimeo movies. I think it might only work for videos that are going to use the internal jplayer, which I do not believe YouTube uses. I don't use YouTube, so I am just guessing a bit.
It appears that you do have a solution to use the "Insert media" button.
