add forum for a group of users not for a course

I would like to enable a group of users to communicate through a forum. the problem is that they are all registered for different courses and I would like to enable all of them to communicate regardless of their courses.

do you know of a way to make it? work around will be just fine...

Hi Rom,

Best option I can think of would be to create a separate course with a forum (ideally using single activity format). Enrol all users that should be able to communicate with each other in that course.

If you would like to do something like this more often, use separate groups mode in that course and add the users to groups.
