Hi,

I would like to introduce the new plugin local_invitation which enables you to invite users into your course even if they don't have an account.
You can use it to conduct a parents' evening or an ad hoc survey, for example.
In the global settings you can define what the invited users can do and how long such a temporary account should remain.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Luiggi,

thank you for your response ހިނިތުން ވުން.
I also thought of a course-based activation. Unfortunately, this is not easy to handle in systems with a large number of courses. For example, we have thousands of courses. In such a setup you don't really want to map individual courses.

But you have other options to manage this.

  • You could use a separate course categorie for courses which are allowed or denied to use the invitation. Just override the editingteacher role in this context.
  • You could use a separate role to allow the usage of the invitation and assign the teachers who should be able to use this. In addition prevent the capability on the edigingteacher role.

Best regards
Andreas
