Can a SCORM package be displayed on the course page?

Can a SCORM package be displayed on the course page?

Moodle 3.8.2 (Build: 20200309)

We've had some requests for our current scorm packages to be displayed on the course page as a video instead of a lesson segment, but keeping status and records.

Currently to reach our training, a user logs in, selects a course from the dashboard, then clicks a lesson (SCORM) from the Course page, then clicks a play button to start the training (autoplay turned off). The request is to have the scorm lesson appear on the course page as a video with a play button and the SCORM still perform the same in regards to status, reporting, scores, etc. The request is to eliminate some clicking and give the training more exposure because some users find it buried too much. The settings for appearance offer popup or current window. I'm hoping it can appear on the course page instead of a lesson you need to click into.

I know I can publish the training as an mp4 video and make it appear on the course page as I have requested, but that does not track status, reporting, etc. and loses interaction (many of our trainings are simulations that learners need to click through).....(Unless Im missing something.)

Any advice is appreciated.

You can use the Single activity course format to do this.

That does limit you to having only one activity in the course, but in scorm heavy sites it is not uncommon to have a one scorm = one course situation. (In fact, this course format was once known as the "SCORM format" for that reason.)

Otherwise your only option is do so something nasty like try to embed the whole page with the scorm in it inside a label on the main course page.

Thank you Randy, this helps. I have been testing it today, and might be able to use this in two of my courses...everything else is multiple scorm activities. Thats too bad it doesnt allow you to do up to , say three on the same page. I also noticed when I use single activity with activity type Scorm package, the course description is found only on the content structure page, but our students are set to always skip this (in all courses to eliminate extra clicks). I was hoping/expecting it to have it appear below the title and above the scorm frame. Do you know of a way to accomplish that?
