Wow, I want to circle back now on this post and say thank you again. That is an excellent script. I guess I overlooked the fact that you had included it in this post as an attachment. So I downloaded it and ran it. My findings now:
215684 files in the directory structure
3 files show FAILED in the output log file that I redirected the command window to.
Not bad. That means the rest of them hashed correctly.
Now, what to do with these three failed files? I'll have to work that out at some time. But for now I'm creating some extra tables to contain the content hash so I don't lose their identities.
