Thank you so much for the really helpful advice. I was worrying about adding yet another plugin, but I think this one will be essential with additional languages in the future and sounds perfect! I will read the instructions carefully, as I am not a Moodle expert! I will also look at the other threads, as I can see with some languages 255 characters really is an issue.
