I have done lot of studies on moodle and its coding part of it. I have modified moodle according to my needs. But i am having very small issue with sending emails. The issue is that when user post there forum some of the user getting email of that forum and some of them not. It is not just happing in forum module but the same problem is with the entire module where email is getting send to other user. With all my R & D on this issue i come to the conclusion that user having hyphen (-) in their email address is not getting email. For example ashok@m-opt.com would not get email because hyphen (-) is there in the domain name. Please let me know if any of you know the solution of this issue / problem.
