? about plugins: Quizgame: Part 1 of 2 questions

Hello Community,

Part 1

We recently moved our Moodle site from the Cloud (v.3.9.2, School theme) to our own server. In doing so, Moodle began to upgrade to v 3.9.4; as a result, the plugins check began; below is a screen print of some of the results...this post is about the last plugin quizgame.

Is this plugin the same as the plugin described here: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_game ? If yes, given its description, and we decide we will not use it, ok to click the grey Update Moodle database button to continue? (see 2nd screen print). 

Assume the plugins that display as Additional will upgrade automatically once the database icon is clicked.

Part 2 question is also about other plugin results and is posted as a followup.

Comments/advice about the content that appears in the screen prints welcome.

As the title is 'quizgame', I assume it is this one: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_quizgame

If you don't want to use it, then it's fine to upgrade without it (although it might be wise to, later, go to the plugins overview interface, in site admin, and uninstall it completely).

Thanks; the content of the url you provided https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_quizgame reads different from the content of the url we provided https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_game Perhaps the 2 sources of info is about the same plugin?

The content of the 2 URLs is different because they are different plugins.
You asked "Is this plugin the same as the plugin described here: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_game ?" So the answer is No, it isn't. Quizgame refers to the plugin mod_quizgame (titled Quizventure on the plugins page), as Davo linked you to, and NOT the mod_game in your link. You can further confirm this by checking the version numbers from your screenshot and the 2 plugins pages - quizgame - 2018062004 (matching your screenshot) and game - 2020081901
