I am using Moodle 3.6 when I tried to set MCQ using Fraction as in the attached if I use {_0:x1:MCE}, the Fraction disappear but If I use {_0:x1:MC} or {_0:x1} it works fine. Please see the attachment, is that Bug or I missed something.
You cannot have TeX equations in a mutiliple choice question with drop down choices.
Last June I wrote a little client-side script to allow MathML equations in the drop-down choices of the Cloze question:
