Restoring a deleted course from a previous backup

I got scheduled backup and restore working but how do I restore a deleted course from the previous back up?

Can I do this without restoring the entire back up?

Is that even possible or is it that once a course is deleted it's gone for good?

Hi Kamil,

My understanding is that automatic backup by default saves the resulting zip file in each course folder. So browse to moodledata/course_num/backupdata and you will find the backup file.

But, if you have deleted the course completely, you have deleted the course _num folder so you will not be able to access the backup (unless it is stored elsewhere or you saved a local copy).

Of course, you keep regular site backups as well as course backups don't you ?
