I would like to set up my course grading such that students who do not achieve mastery of topics are not going to move forward until they do. With that said, I would like to specify grading that would be structured like this:
If they master topics A, B, and C (must haves) only, the highest grade they can get in the class is an 80
If they master topics A, B, C, D, and E (should haves) only, the highest grade they can get in the class is an 90
If they master topics A, B, C, D, E and F (strive to have), the highest grade they can get in the class is a 100
Of course, grades they get in each tranch depend on performance in that tranch.
Is there a way to do this approach of mastery based grading using the moodle gradebook structure?
