I  recently update from 3.9.1 to 3.9.2 and after that i discovered a bug when "Select all users" in Participants. When all user are selected with this feature, the "With selected users ..." combo are not enabled. When some user are deselected the combo show the options (send message, enrol, and others).

I searched and dont find any report about this problem.

Yes, I notice the same problem on my Moodle.

1) I do a "select all users" and the "With selected users" combo box is disabled. If I uncheck one user, the combo box becomes enabled. Then I re-check that one user who I unchecked, and the combo box remains enabled.

2) If I first "Show all" users, the "Select all users" button does not even appear, and "with selected users" does show, but is disabled. However, when I "show all" users, there is a checkbox at the top that allows me to select all, and then the combo box does appear!

It appears to me that there might be some inconsistent behavior with the "Select all xx Users" button.

I tried Safari and Chrome, same problem.

Let's see what others have to say.

Thank you Rick.

You described the problem much better than I did.

At the university where I work, many teachers have already reported this failure.

I believe this will happen on any moodle in version 3.9.2, but I dont find any other posts talking about it.

Let's see if anyone have some suggestions, and wait for the problem to be fixed in the next update.

Hi Paul, I see today that this "bug" is now fixed and will be available via Moodle.org download web page soon. It wasn't clear to me if you were the programmer fixing this bug, or if it was Andrew, Anna, or some of the other Tracker participants. I will say "Thanks." Pass my thanks on to the others who were involved.

Hi all,

Update in this tracker issue suggests the bug will be fixed for Moodle 3.9.4 and 3.10. Depending on your version and update planning, you should be able to solve this for your instance by mid January at the latest.
