Jmol filter -> Jmol resource type

If you like the Jmol text filter, you might also like the Jmol "resource" type.

For most flexibility it's worth having both the filter and the resource type. But this resource type should provide a nice straightforward way to add a viewer (as in the attached image) as a single Moodle resource.

Hi Dan

Stumbled across this and thought you might be interested (not my thing so no idea if useful or not but from memory it seemed similar to the Jmol stuff you've been working on).

Hmmm. Thanks for the link. It seems to be a very limited piece of software! It doesn't even display bonds between atoms, the mouse rotation is counter-intuitive, and the XML spec for the data files looks ropey to me.

Maybe one day it will be a useful tool but it's a million miles behind what Jmol can do!

It's THAT good huh! big grin

No idea what it's supposed to do in the first place, might have to have a look one day at this Jmol stuff.

Cest la vie
