I have a course using the Multitopic course format. I just upgraded to Moodle 3.9+ and have the latest Multitopic plugin.

When I try to edit this course I cannot see the sub-topics and I get the following error message...

Exception - Class 'core_course\output\modchooser_item' not found

After a little exploring I realise that this relates to the theme. In the relevant directory (adaptable\classes\core_course\output, I believe, though I am working from memory here) there is a single file (modchooser.php) but I cannot see any actual class modchooser_item; though there is a reference to it.

Any ideas on this one?

1. I believe the activity chooser (modchooser) has been changed in 3.9
2. Adaptable is not released for Moodle3.9

Ah, okay. Is there any concept of when/if Adaptable will be ready for 3.9?

I installed Moodle 3.9 and used Adaptable 2.2.2.

We are experiencing an issue. Turn editing on is not showing for a teacher in a course page.  Is there a solution for this?

We understand that Adaptable is not available for 3.9 yet. What is the timetable for 3.9? Thanks

Hi Richard,

You are correct, we added options to add recommended activities to the activity chooser, a feature we copied from Fordson. We need to strip that out as it is superfluous in 3.9 as this feature and more are now in core.... we will try and fix this soon.
