Show Full Site Name - Moodle 3.7

We recently updated to Moodle 3.7 using the standard bootstrap theme. Prior to the upgrade, we used to have our corporate logo in the header at the top of the site.

After the upgrade we found that our company logo (190x34mm big) used for the Compact Logo is reduced in size to the extent that is is barely legible. We tried using Raw initial SCSS to increase the size, but then the image gets distorted (as though the reduced-size image is enlarged, rather than the source image being used).

As an alternative, we thought we'd use the full site name instead. However, we can't seem to achieve that. We have removed the file from the Compact Logo field in the theme, but the full site name doesn't show.

Unfortunately we don't have access to the back-end, so modifying the php files isn't an option. Would there be a way to either fix the image size to show correctly (without being distorted) or showing the Full Site Name using SCSS?
