Pardon intrusion ... but a question Jorge. Has to do with Softac installs of moodle and another catch 22. Another Softac customer discovered that Softac used a hidden data directory inside the moodle code directory. Hidden means folder name began with a 'dot' character, then some random letters and numbers and 'data' on the end of the folder name. This to warn checking config.php file for path to moodledata before erasing the old code directory. That hidden data directory needs to be moved from the archived folder back into new code acquired by other means.

Failure to do so erasing the old code directory will render your site completely broken with no work around to restore other than hoping provider or yourself has a backup.

I don't host where Softac is used nor do I use it ... the above discovered by a Softac user.

Kinda criminal that provider and Softac don't warn or document the above but, instead, rely upon community here at Moodle to warn.
