I am working on a block in Moodle and want to display it in the 'content' region. To this end, I changed the corresponding columns of block_instances and block_postitions to 'content'. Unfortunately, this did not have any effect, although the database did indeed change those columns and the option of content appears in the block configuration.
I also added the following line of code to the index.php of the course page, the block appears in:
echo $OUTPUT->blocks_for_region('content');
