Same issue here, just upgraded 1 hour ago and it stopped working.

In my case, unmarking the "cachejs" checkbox worked. You save my day!

same issue here, upgraded to 3.8 and unable to access the system admin tabs, also cant logout.
tried with ajax enable / disable but didnt worked.

please help

Hi Umesh,

In my case, finally the issue comes from the template, I use a pay theme and the support team of my template hade to upgrade her theme for solve the issue.

If this is your case and you not use a default theme, please contact with the provider of your theme.

If you have a free theme, please change it for another recently updated or for the default theme installed in moodle 3.8.1.
