Image Gallery in MoodleCloud

Image Gallery in MoodleCloud

I have a Moodle course that I use as part of my Community College class that I teach.  The college uses Moodle for their LMS.  I would like to use this course for the high school class that I teach on the same material.

I created a Moodle Cloud course to try for my high school class.

My college Moodle includes Lightbox Gallery as a resource to add images for my course.   This is not an option on Moodle Cloud.  Do you have a recommendation for providing an image gallery in a Moodle Cloud course?

Thank you

Roger

Hi Roger.
You are correct, MoodleCloud is basically standard core Moodle (with a couple of chosen plugins) but no ability to add other plugins, such as the Lightbox Gallery plugin (working example).
However, with a little work, you could use a Database activity or a Glossary activity as a sort of Lightbox.
Glossary might be quickest and easiest (although Database would give you more display flexibility if you are happy putting some work into designing  the templates?)
A key advantage of the Glossary however is that you could then use a Random Glossary Entry Block - which could be set to show a different image every time the page is revisited or refreshed. That can work very nicely if the Block is top left / right so the users see the changing images all the time smile
