I noticed that in the new version of Moodle cloud we have ' Remove submission ' option. When I click on it to delete a submission nothing really happens and the submission is still there. Could you please explain it to me? Thank you.

It's possible you've hit the bug MDL-65956 - A teacher trying to remove a submission without having the relevant capability encounters an error.
If you think you have hit a different issue, please give us more details here. A first step would be to describe exactly what happens after you select the "Remove submission" action.

I chose one student to delete the submission:
I clicked on the option and confirmed it :
It didn't work so I deleted purged the cache
I did it a couple of times:
But I got the same error.
However, last time after purging al caches it didn't give me the error but nothing happened.
Your help is much appreciated.
