The interactive video content type in H5P does allow for free text questions now.

- Set up an H5P Course presentation
- (Use the first slide to give instructions)
- Add an Interactive Video to a slide
- Pause the video where you want the students to answer the question and add a free text question on a "Poster" (require answer before students can proceed)
- Repeat above step for any additional questions you want to add to the same video
- Add more slides for any additional videos you want to add and add the free text questions to them
Some points:
- Think about whether you want navigation via self-made buttons on an Active surface mode or use the standard navigation below the presentation
- Marking free text questions in Moodle is still a bit of a hassle: go to the Moodle Gradebook, find the correct activity and click on the Magnifyer next to each student's name to check/mark the answers
