One teacher unable to view submissions or grade

One teacher unable to view submissions or grade

We recently upgraded from Moodle 3.6.x to 3.7.1+ and have one strange issue, but only with one account.

Before the upgrade, everything was fine. After the upgrade, we have one teacher account who is unable to do anything related to grading an assignment. When clicking on 'view all submissions' there is a blank page and a message about there being 'nothing to display.' And clicking on the 'grade' button shows 'no user selected' and a blank page.

This account has the exact same role assigned to it that the other teacher accounts have assigned to them. Those other teacher accounts don't have this issue - they see the table view with students and their assignments to grade. I have also checked at the course and assignment level to be sure there is no locally assigned role, and there is not.

This issue occurs in any course page for any assignment and isn't just affecting one particular course or one particular assignment. Just one teacher, in every course, and every assignment.

This one has had me stumped. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Does the teacher see this "reset" link on the grading page? If so have the teacher click it

Hi Brian,
I'm not sure that you encountered the same issue as me, but the last time that a teacher saw the "Nothing to display" message, that was the issue:
https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-66176

TL;DR - The filtering by name was on, due to some settings the teacher didn't knew that, and he saw nothing in most assignments because there were no matches to the applied filtering.

Anyway, I would be very happy if people vote for this issue smile

What John suggested helps, because the "Reset table preferences" action also reset the filtering by name.
