Oh ... Ok ... I get it now ...
$CFG->dbhost = 'localhost'; // eg 'localhost' or 'db.isp.com' or IP
just a mis-understanding that the eg's in that file didn't show any protocol ... or url ... but the DB host by FQDN or IP.
And just 2 cents more ... would use IP myself ... a FQDN depends upon DNS working ... and on the DB server end, much faster/better if the DB server launches with skip-networking ... other wise, DB server does a DNS lookup on every request it gets from a moode.
