Does anyone know of any plugins or workarounds for the fact that an assignment doesn't have a 'require passing grade' completion option?
Currently an assignment can be classed as complete either when it's viewed by the student, submitted by the student, or it receives a grade of any type.
For example, with the latter even if the teacher gives the assignment a grade below the required 'grade to pass' value (perhaps with the assignment then automatically being reopened to allow the student to have another attempt, as we have it set in our system), Moodle stil classes the assignment as complete at this stage because it has been give a grade.
This is causing us a real problems in calculating and reporting on progress and ensuring courses are promptly marked as complete but only when students have met the required standards (both cases are requiring manual intervention).
There is a 'Major' fix request in the Moodle Tracker for this (here), however it's been there since 2015 and it's currently unassigned so nobody's working on a fix as I understand it.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
